Slice sampler
GLASS
A slice sampler you play by moving through the sound.
- In development
- VST3
- AU
- Windows
- macOS
Overview
GLASS slices drums and long recordings at every transient and lays the slices out as a map. Drag across the map, turn a MIDI knob or tap the pads, and each move lands on the beat as a playable hit. Gesture speed shapes the groove; randomness is there when you want it, never in charge.
How it works
-
Drop in audio
Drum loops, field recordings, whole takes. GLASS finds every transient and cuts there.
-
Get a board
Slices become pads with their own glyphs, and a map you can move across.
-
Move to play
Drag, turn a knob or tap. Every move is quantized to the beat, and speed picks the grid.
Features
-
Automatic slicing
Transient detection cuts drums and long takes into slices with click-free envelopes.
-
Gesture to groove
Gesture speed becomes quantize resolution: faster moves unlock finer grids.
-
16-pad icon board
Each slice gets a glyph and its own gain, pan, filter, pitch and decay.
-
Colour, echo, reverb
Effect stages tuned for playing live rather than for fixing things later.
-
Swing and drop
Add swing and chance when you want variation. The groove stays yours.
-
Tempo sync and MIDI
Follows your DAW tempo. Map knobs and pads from any MIDI controller.
